About the Photographer

Ann F. Nermoe’s love for photography began in high school and blossomed further when her husband, Peter, gave her a digital camera in 2001. She started a consulting business the next year, teaching people how to use their digital cameras, conducting classes and workshops.

Ann’s growing knowledge and passion for photography has enabled her to become an accomplished photographer, winning many awards for her work, including first places in both the Big Show at Glynn Art and at Jekyll Art Association’s Spring Show. She has had several exhibits, including the Goodyear Cottage and the Southeast Georgia Health System Art Gallery. Her work can be seen at Merrill Lynch offices on St. Simons, Hilton Head and Charleston, SC.

Five years ago, Ann published her first book of photography, “Images of a Golden Isle: Saint Simons Island”, a 192-page coffee table quality book of photographs of St. Simons.

Ann Nermoe was also recently featured in The Brunswick News!

“By far my favorite [Christmas] gift! What a wonderful stroll back through time. I just love the fact that your pictures bring back the island that I so fondly remember. The photographs are absolutely amazing! Your love of the island shows in each and every one of them. I will continue to look through this beautiful book over and over again.”
